Miss. Campbell (Soupy)

Swinging life away. I caught this one while my friend Lauren was on the swing set. She was very receptive to me taking photos of her. Most females are always a little shy, but she wasn't. I'm definitely taking more photos of her as she's beautiful.

Swing Away

Got another photo of her on the bench.

Miss. Campbell

Haven't decided what I think of this photo. Still like it.

That's all for now. I'm finding that the scheduled posts are very very cool! So I can post my work Sunday night for the week.

Children

What they do to us, and what cuteness they have. I grabbed some photos at the local park. Love these.

Framed the kid within the chains of the swing. Love it.Next one is of the kids on the slide.

Slide Kids

"Peace man," some of them muttered. In our time children.

leave you

Leave you with one last poem: off to camp now.

The whir down the hall

Is the machine

That helps her

Breathe

And

The light was on

in

The room that cradles her;

She sleeps

Sitting straight up,

hole in her throat

Being pumped

With air;

And her burns around her

Neck,

Soundlessly

Everyone is sorry

No one knows

My 21 years of living

Never have known a fight like this

Told to do many things..

Learn her

Songs before

She leaves,

Learn her poems

Before departing,

And acknowledge the tide;

Know how to mend

The tattered clothes;

Learn her songs and

Know that we all

Have our endless numbered

Days

Her hands are still soft

And voice raspy

She has chosen to believe

In the falling leaves

And

Holds hope close

While misplaced dreams return

-my hands remember hers

As I circle ‘round the turn

In my endless numbered days.

Pretty Woman, Walking Down the Street

I shot photos for my friend. Here are the results: gorgeous women.

20080517_6252

Here's a depth of field shot. I read an article on using depth of field to add drama to a shot. Really good article, so now I try and use it. I think this shot turned out well.

Depth of Field

DPP2_1007

My favorite photo. It's her eyes that I love. Great location for shooting, as it was a garden. The garden matched their dresses because the garden was formal as well. Also matched in beauty.

Emo the Admiral

I visited Cullowhee recently and I picked up a few shots. My friend Emily, affectionately know as, "Emo". Indeed, pretty girl.

Suprise

This next photo I have of her, a little drunk, yes. However, totally posing. Fun night had by all I'd say.

Emily Lauro

See her face, a little blush! Oh well, the drinks were mighty fine in that trailer. Yee haw!

Why I Can't Vote for Him

Watch this veteran speak about the new GI bill. John McCain is against this by the way.

Amazing, John has been a POW himself and injured. Yet, he chooses to vote against the troops.

Long Ago..

Very sorry for the lack of postage with my blog. My hard drive (which has my photos) is now disconnected due to the fact that I have no real "desk" to work with. I leave on the 25th for camp, and I'll be gone through July. So, expect an update when I'm done with camp. There will be some updates through the summer; however, don't expect much. With that in mind I will see you all later! Now for your moment of zen:

Home

Home is where the heart is. I'm home from college now, I leave for camp on the 25th of May. I'll try to post, but I can't promise anything as my hard drive isn't hooked up. Forgive me everyone!

This is my girlfriend's photo. I love it to death! This was at my sister's wedding, and I'm sad I left my camera. However, my camera is huge and she has a simple point and shoot. Maybe I need to invest in another camera... On that note, this shot is a good one!

Memorialized

"It should not of happened.."
My mother repeated this statement when I was younger. I visited the wall at the age of three, but I never remembered it. I just remembered my mother crying. Flash forward to present day, I visited this wall again. This time I was 19 years of age, and it was powerful. We were lied to again about another war, another situation. This time it was in a desert not an ocean.

“The only monuments to this war (Vietnam) will be the dead, the maimed, the despairing and the forlorn”

It did happen, and one picture can tell it all.

The War is Over

Have you ever been told that you've been wronged?

"Here we admit a wrong..."
This monument was built to show the grievances directed towards Japanese Americans was wrong. This group was interned in camps during WWII. Lives changed forever, and they were never given an apology until later.
The legislation stated that government actions were based on "race prejudice, war hysteria, and a failure of political leadership".
This legislation was created to apologize for the internment. It was signed in 1988. So here's a picture that says it all.

Taking a Break

Finals in the collegiate setting are hard. I have one tomorrow and I've studied for it all day, as well as played some disc golf. However, this is not conducive to posting. I'm also a bit lazy today, but I'll have more stuff up tomorrow. Very sorry for the boredom.

Stay true.

Oh the Sun!

I walked outside of Norton Road hall and got this one day. Light and clouds were just perfect. Amazing.

From that Time

This is from earlier this year. Playing basketball and one athlete, Jason, took a rest on the wall. I grabbed this shot. Pretty neat I think.

"Nothing grabs like a photo..."
Resting and Waiting

Think my white balance was a little off, but that's alright. They all enjoyed practice, and they loved my photos. Gotta hand it to them. Good stuff.

Disc Golf...or is it Frolfing?

I met the friends, well ran into them, at our campus's disc golf course. I followed them around, and I got these shots. Here it goes!

Above is my friend Tony Paxton driving into hole #6. i've played this course and this hole is a bit tricky. I can't drive it like Tony can.

Keyword for you photographers: composition.

Check out my flickr for more golf shots, I swear there's a few more. We have finals week coming up so I'm not sure if I'll be posting. If I do, it'll be one photo. Like John Stewart's Moment of Zen.

The Earth

I have a lot of photos of landscapes, so why not share them?

7.15.07 070

Next shots are ones of our bell tower on campus. This bell tower is pretty look at, but there isn't an actual bell in the tower. It's all electronic, so it sounds crummy. Oh well, still makes for good photos.

Love this macro shot. I didn't quite understand macro until my brother in law explained more on the subject. Granted, he'll argue that this isn't true macro and that you need a tripod and an actual macro lens. I give in, the lens I use is a Canon 28-135mm lens with a macro function. Not a 'true' macro, but I like the shot.

Random flower

By any other name, it's a flower. Look at the texture on the flower and tell me that's not beautiful. I'll have shots tomorrow from a game of disc golf.
