So It Goes

So starts another week at camp. Think we've worked out the kinks in program; however, one thing irks me. The owner of Whitewater Express, the company we go rafting through, is on a board in the Atlanta Area Council. So basically he makes sure he has business no matter what. He feeds himself customers through the scouts and it's amazing.

He complained to us about how it costs so much to bring the buses down to our camp, so he needs the exact numbers. I've estimated he makes around $3K a day. His guides costs him 250$ and the buses are 400$. So he doesn't get his maximum profit, but no worries he's doing it for the scouts. How it is, so it goes.

Dealing with this bureaucratic organization is well how do I put it? Wonderful. It's great to be told by a man that doesn't work here that there are no bikes allowed on camp. Only in the bike cage, which is outside. One thing though, this adventure will make me more experienced when I'm plunged into the depths of a job.
